Step 1) Understanding the Performance of Pump
The performance of the pump depends on the orientation of the solar panels towards the sun and the sunlight condition. A feature in the shade or on cloudy days cannot be guaranteed. This battery backup model, the performance of the pump also depends on the battery power level. The pump cannot work if the battery power is used out.
Step 2) Battery Information
A rechargeable battery becomes less efficient with repeat charge and discharge cycles. The capacity of the battery may also reduce over time and you may not achieve the full hour’s operation. If you find that your battery is less efficient try to boost charge it. To do so:
Leave off for 2 – 3 sunny days to allow the maximum charge to the battery.
Step3) Maintenance of the Pump
If the pump starts to lose power and stop working, please follow the below steps:
- Check the pumps filter is all clear and no obstructions
- Check the pumps impeller of any blockages
- Clean all parts where needed
- Give the pump a tap on its side to clear of any air locks
Step 4) Charging
Simply plug in the mains charger into the Yellow coloured charging point in the back of you solar panel and plug into a mains power source, the light on the charger will indicate whether it is charged or not.
Please note:
200lph solar panel require 3 / 4 hours of full charge
250lph solar panel require 4 / 5 hour of full charge
800lph solar panel requires 6 / 7 hours of full charge
