Why is the colour of my stone lighter than the website picture?

We specify in our terms and conditions that images on our website are for illustration purposes only as natural stone products vary in colour and different screen resolutions can make images appear differently on different devices. However we can confirm the stone darkens when wet with rough cut stone, the pictures on our website are a working wet water feature.
